Re: Transformation Color Negative issue with 16 bit tif
Thanks Jonathan. I tried again and this time was a bit more brutal with the Color Negative Transform gamma settings and got good output. I also used one Raw file of the colour negative and used Canon DPP to convert to an 8 Bit Tif and 16 bit Tif. I then used the PWP8 Color Negative Transform on each...

Transformation Color Negative issue with 16 bit tif
Hi, I found that if I use the Transformation Color Negative, I get a very blue output if the input file is a 16 bit tiff (made from a Raw photo of a colour negative.) If I use an 8 bit tiff file for input, I get nicely colour balanced output. (PWP 64 v 7.0.20 also behaves this way.) Is this issue a ...

Re: Reducing haze or mist using PWP
I would like to thank everyone for their help. At last I had some free time and I have used the method provided by Jennifer and got pleasing results of the Grand Canyon with reduced haze. This was by using Color->Extract Channels to get R, H, and S followed by Gray->Combine Channels. (I did find tha...

Print Album difficult to see and select right profile
Hi Kiril I notice in PWP 7.0.19 when I use Print Album that it is not possible to see the full name of each available profile file. If I print an individual photo (not using Print Album) then I am presented with almost the full profile name. Is it possible to make the Print Album profile box show th...

Reducing haze or mist using PWP
Hi All - what PWP steps could be used please on photos which have mild amounts of haze or mist to make the scene a bit sharper? (I am using RAW followed by processing in Canon DPP software.) - I am aware that Canon software (DPP) offers Picture Styles - one of which is called "Clear" - it ...

Removing profile from JPEG before sending to printer
Hi Kiril Can you please clarify what I need to do in PWP 7.0.17a to avoid ending up with a JPEG image file containing a profile? I am asking because I want to use a photo print supplier - Photobox - who say this on their web site: "Note: All our printers are calibrated to be sRGB printers - the...

Re: New Picture Window Update
Hi Kiril I know you mention there is now an "Auto" feature in the Color Balance widget but I cannot see it in PWP. I was wanting to use the Automatic Color Balance feature you mentioned to auto color balance a number of photos in a PWP workflow which each have different casts. - Where can ...

Re: Canon's "Digital Lens Optimizer" software for RAW images
Hi John I was curious how you found the RAW conversion with Canon DPP and DLO compared to that in PWP? I am using Canon 40D with several Canon lens some of which are supported by DLO in DPP software. I tend to convert RAW files in DPP, then use PWP for final edits. (Like Warp transformation - that D...

Problem selecting individual files for workflow
Hi Kiril I would be grateful please for help on this. When I use Ctrl - Left Mouse Click to select individual photos to drag to the Workflow dialog box, I am finding that after selecting about 6-8 individual photos, the screen blinks, and the selection is lost, before I can drag to the Workflow dial...

Suspected CMYK file would not open in PWP7
Hi Kiril I was sent a jpeg file which I was unable to open in PWP7. It then sits in the Browser bar saying "Error2. It did open with MS Paint. Am I right in thinking that this is a deliberate limitation of PWP? Once opened in Paint and saved as TIFF, I can open in PWP with profile conversion sh...
