Auto Range dialog -- Dynamic Range edit

Post by den »

Ref: PWP8 v8.0.2 msi

I use a laptop monitor 1366x762 pixels so that transform dialogs will easily cover browser images. In the case of Auto Range, when it it covers its Browser image and a double LeftClick near the title bar is used to open it for an Edit, the black Dynamic Range marker will un-intentionally move right from zero... ...Also noticed that the mouse icon will change from a single upper right pointing arrow to a double horizontal arrow depending upon the size and geometry of the Browser image space and the Dynamic Range bar of the transform dialog.

1) set File\Preferences\Initial Dialog Position: Lower Left
2) open an image in the Browser
3) open Gray\Autorange; set to FullRange; and OK

.

Increase Browser image size so that it is covered by the transform dialog upon a double LeftClick of the mouse.

The black Dynamic Range marker will move right when the dialog opens for edit.

jsachs,

In my checking on this I found that the help screen for the autorange transformation says that "the amount control determines how much of the sharpen transformation is applied to the input image." I assume this is a minor error.
