New histogram option in the Levels and Color

It looks like the adjustments in Dynamic Range Slider is independent of the adjustments using Histogram option: it's either one or the other. I haven't tested it yet, but I wonder how the auto dynamic range settings for the Slider (in options) are applied when the Histogram option is on. Also in 'batch - would the histogram stay constant for subsequent images or would it be adaptive, as the Dynamic Range Slider can be made to be?

If you use the curve instead of the sliders, there is no auto-range option since the same curve is applied to all images in a batch workflow. If you want some kind of autorange in batch, you need to use an Autorange transformation before Levels and Color.
