Just installed PWP trial. Install went uneventfully. Everything seemed to work OK but my first use of Save As... crashed PWP with an access violation. In fact, every use of Save As... crashes PWP the same way. The crash is completely consistent. It can be reproduced simply by 1) open sample picture (bird.jpeg). 2) Select File/Save As ... . 3) Admire Windows error dialog announcing the crash.
I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro. I'd guess there's a compatibility issue here. But I didn't see anything on the web site that specifies OS requirements. Any insight greatly appreciated. Obviously, this is a showstopper for me.
Configuration details:
PWP 7.0.11, 64 bit
Windows 8.1 Pro
Plenty of RAM (12G), horsepower (I7 processor), plenty of disk space (6+ TB).
Thanks, Jeff

Re: PWP crashes on Save As...
Jeff,
I can't reproduce the problem here. The crash could be related to the image's original folder and your folder settings. To test this idea, could you try opening an image from your My Pictures folder (or subfolder) and then do a save as.

Re: PWP crashes on Save As...
Well, I'm embarrassed to say -- the problem was not PWP but my system. A few other things started failing in peculiar ways and it dawned on me that my system was beginning to get hosed (technical term for "displaying capricious, arbitrary behavior"). Anyway, the problem cleared up with a reboot and PWP is now fine.
It's been quite a while since I've seen something like this.
