The new common Image Properties, especially with the ability to edit the important EXIF and IPTC, is great. I still have some nostalgic soft spot for the old, compact Window Info dialog, if only for two reasons: it was compact and tab-formatted, thus faster to read, and I found Image Size (vs. file size) and image Type useful. The long pathname treatment, where the mid part was removed, but the beginning and the end readable was I think better then dividing it into File and Folder name and truncating long names.
I also have a request, not sure how feasible: I would find it very useful to keep info dialog open, while changing the input images and comparing the data in them, either in browser or open image windows.
Cheers!

Re: [REQ] Image Properties vs. Window Info
I kind of buried the main suggestion at the bottom of the previous post, but I now realize that this is more complex than I thought: I was basically hoping that in Browse, I could keep moving from one image to the next, while commenting on them (without having to close the window). It's not that simple, it seems.
1) In Browse, Properties/User Comments (=Image Properties in Window menu) seems read only: the image has to be opened, comments added, then saved it seems.
2) But, Browse/Add Keywords can add/edit 3 EXIF fields without having to open the file (but can't see if the fields are empty or what's in them already). I can't move from one image to another though, while commenting. Also, it only works with JPG/TIFF, not RAW formats.
This is interesting since those same 3 EXIF fields are also accessible from User Comments.
3) However, if the EXIF Description, Artist or Copyright are entered via Add Keywords (I added generic "PWP Description" "PWP Artist" and "PWP Copyright" to see what happens to them), they entries become scrambled (or distributed in the wrong fields, as shown). External EXIF viewers confirm it.

Re: [REQ] Image Properties vs. Window Info
Add Keywords is intended to allow you to add comments to multiple images in a single use of the dialog. The idea is that frequently a whole series of images can be tagged with the same artist, copyright and even description.
In Browse, you select all the images to which a particular set of keywords, description, etc. apply, and then display the Add Keywords dialog. (It's invoked from the right-click menu.)
If you notice, each of the fields has the option of Add, Replace, or Default. These have the following significance: Add appends your edits to whatever else is already in the field. (This may be different for each of the images selected.) Replace overwrites the field with your entry. Default adds the entry if the field of a given image is blank and makes no change if the field is filled in already.
That said, there is apparently bug in the Add Keywords, so it currently does not operate properly. I will fix it for the next update. I would suggest not using it until it is fixed.
