Videos files shown in Browse

Post by Dieter Mayr »

I use the video function of my camera very rarely, so i have just a few videos on my hdd, so I can't say from what version on it occured.
The Browser shows now video files, too, with extentions AVI and MOV, but not MPG, as far I have tested now.
Doubleclicking the video opens it in the associated player, normal behaviour as in Explorer.
Is that intended? And if it is, can there be a menu point to disable it ?
It can be useful when using the browser in combination with workflow to download files from the cameras card, but for "normal" use of the browser for selecting images to work with, I would prefer to switch it off.

Browse has shown video files since the start of the PWP 6 beta. There could be an option to not display them in browse. However I think for those who do not want them displayed, it might be much safer to keep them to a separate area, such as the Videos folder in Windows, analogous to the Pictures folder.
