Epson 3880 won't print on WIN 11

Post by Johnmagyar »

I have used my Epson 3880 for years with Win 10 and earlier. Had to switch to 11, now it won't print. I can have it run a nozzle check from the Epson computer based utility interface, but attempts to print from PWP brings up a screen that says this software doesn't support picture preview. I press Print anyway, and it gets me to the normal PWP print screen. But when I press Print nothing happens. Is there a way to disable the WIN 11 interference with this process?

I have an Epson 3880 which I use with Windows 11 and it works OK from Picture Window.

On the topic of the new and "improved" Windows 11 Print dialog box, there are many articles complaining about this and showing how to get the old dialog box back. For example: https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/rest ... indows-11/

As far as I know there is no reason the printer should not print when you click OK in the Picture Window Print dialog box. You might check the cable and all the other usual suspects.

Thanks, I did finally figure it out. Since the format was so different I thought the new WIN 11 dialog box was just some extra trash added to the flow. Will probably revert to the old style box.
