Quirk with Warp Transformation after Reset

Post by jfoster »

There seems to be a quirk with the Warp Transformation related to the Text Delay refresh event. If an attempt is made to manipulate the image after a Reset, but before the Text Delay period of time, the position of the control-point being manipulated by the mouse seems to jump incorrectly.

To reproduce the issue:

1 Start PWP 8.0.473
2. Set the Text Delay setting in File|Preferences to 3 seconds
3. Create a Color Chart Test Pattern
4. Open the Warp Transformation
5. Ensure that the Input and Output images are displayed side-by-side
6. Select Reset in the Gear Menu on the Warp dialog box
7. Wait 3 seconds without doing anything and note that the Input image refreshes (blinks) at the 3 second mark
8. Select Reset in the Gear Menu on the Warp dialog box again
9. Now, before 3 seconds, press the mouse button down with the pointer on the edge of the control-frame and slowly move the edge
10. Note that at the 3 second point an unexpected mouse event will inappropriately affect the control-frame position

Reset is not supposed to trigger the keyboard delay -- fixed for next release.
