question : Soft Light

Post by pierrelabreche »

Often I use Soft light to increase brightness of an image. For example by applying a gradient.

Soft Light works very well ; however, sometimes 100% white does not increase the brightness enough.
I can add the same transformation over to achieve results as desired.

Question
Is this the right way to proceed ?
Is there a way to boost the effect of soft light ?

Possible new feature
Could there be a new feature whereby the effect of a transformation is boosted beyond 100 % ?

Almost anything you can do with Soft Light you can also do with a brightness curve which is what I would use instead as it is much more powerful and lets you use the histogram as a guide.
