The last several updates gave me an install problems, after Microsoft pushed my Windows 10 from 1903 to 2004. The screenshot shows the report of failure. At first I could just start the .msi file again, and it would work. I might need two tries.
Then it would not work after half a dozen tries. I stumbled upon a procedure that worked:
Open Windows Task Manager, go to the Services tab, find msiserver, right-click, and Restart. Then launch the .msi file.
The bug is almost surely in Microsoft code. I report it in case other users have the same problem.
