If you load Monitor curves one after another, edit them and save them or not, the color patches under the grid refresh, but not the color patches of the gray wedge including its background. They keep the same tinting (if any) until the Curves dialog is closed and reopened.
If the Reset is used to clear tinting and then some curves loaded, the gray wedge patches and its background do not reflect the tinting until the curves are edited, or the Curves dialog is reopened.
