Splitting an image into a few printed pages
What's the best way of dividing an image into panels - which will be printed as single pages and then recombined on the wall as a single image? I have access to colour laser printer that prints as A3 and I would like to make a large print (the mediocre quality is not a problem) by stitching 8 of those A3 pages on the wall to produce an A0 print.

PWP has that feature for that.
In the Print dialog, just set the number of horizontal and vertical tiles you want to split the image into and how much (if any) overlap you want between tiles. Allowing a little overlap makes it easier to trim the individual tiles without showing gaps in the final image.

Print seems to bring standard Windows printing dialog box - and then the Preferences button seems to open the printer driver box. It's Windows7.

Not the Windows Print dialog, the PWP Print dialog that shows up afterward.

Cheers! What are the units of 'File Overlap' value'?

Units are the same as for other dimensions in the Print dialog as set by the control just to the right of Image Width
