The cursor for some operations, including freehand masking, will now start with a double ended arrow, rather than the traditional cross-hair. A couple other operations have the same thing, but I did not pay enough attention initially to provide specifics. Sometimes it is a horizontal line/arrow and other times it is vertical. Once the mouse is clicked, the double ended arrow will disappear and be replaced with either the cross-hair or the angled white arrow.

Re: Cursor
What transformation were you using a mask with? I don't see this with all the ones I tried.

Re: Cursor
In response to your question, I tried a couple things again, and it appears it may have something to do with a second monitor (where I keep the browser and dialogue boxes when they come up).
I just tried Composite, with a freehand mask and initially the cursor starts as either a hand, angled arrow or horizontal double ended arrow, depending where the cursor is resting when the operation initiates. A single click in the left image will bring it to the angled arrow.
If I then move the cursor to the second monitor (to change a setting in the dialogue box), it comes back as either a vertical or horizontal double ended arrow. A single click in the left image returns it to the angled arrow.
Sometimes, if I move the cursor to the zoom button, it comes back as a hand when it hovers over the image, however this does not occur every time.
The same double ended arrow also occurs when I am cloning and I move the cursor to the dialogue box, however the double arrow is centered over the circle/dot (until I click once).

Re: Cursor
I think I have tracked down and fixed all the cases where this can happen for the next release.

Re: Cursor
Perhaps you have already fixed this cursor problem. Sometimes, but not consistently, when I am cloning and use Alt-left mouse to drag the image, the hand cursor that appears when you are dragging an image does not disappear when I resume cloning.
