Dragging the browser separator line to the right

When there are more input images added in the browser, not all of them usually fit into the routine browser width. But once an image is loaded into a transformation dialog, it is almost impossible to drag to the right the vertical line separating the Browser from the Image area. It can ony be done by multiple tiny steps.
This limitation seems to be common to transformations that display the hair cross (probe ?) over the image area.
Using the scrollbar at the bottom with numerous thumbails in the browser is rather unwieldy.
Draging the line to the left is no problem. Is there any reason for this disparity?
