Closing top image with "Close the current image" button again

(the Highlight image dependancy button up or down)
load an image
run Clone Side Branch command
apply a transformation to the cloned input (branch 2)
click the x button on the cloned input (branch 2)
in the Close File box choose the middle button Close the current image -> you get a red thumbnail with "Illegall input image type" error.

A forgotten "Close the current image" button?
My guess is that the "Close the current image" button needs to be hidden when the Close File box is used on the top image with an output.

Cloning a branch starting at a top-level image is not a legal operation and should have been grayed out. If you allow it, the top level images are no longer at the top level. This is fixed for the next release.
