Transformations for splitters?

Transformations for splitters?
Should there be available or active transformations when a splitter gets focus? If you click a Splitter, some of the transformations in the main menu are active including Combine Channels, Layout, Texture, Wave and all Test Patterns. If you run them, they create an independent output unrelated to the Splitter. It is a just cosmetic matter, but it could provoke curiosity ending in a question.
Re: Transformations for splitters?
The transformations you mention always create a new top-level image, regardless of what image is current at the time they are invoked - so it is the same for splitters as for any other image.

Re: Transformations for splitters?
FYI, the reason some transformations are always created at the top level is that these are the ones that either do not require an input image and thus placing them below another image in the image tree does not make sense. In addition, placing them in-line would create a false dependency on the preceding image which would in turn limit the way the image could be used. I realize it does seem inconsistent, but it was the cleanest way I could think of to make everything work correctly.
