Gradient - multipoint

Post by AFlowerday »

Hi - like the new gradient tool idea; however have tried the multipoint version and the 'points' don't seem to stay where I put them on the image! I haven't tested this exhaustively - is this a know bug?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I did find a problem with the Match Input Image checkbox which I fixed for the next release.

If you open another window such as a color picker that can sample data from the input image, the point overlay from the gradient transformation will go away temporarily, but clicking on the transformation dialog box again will bring the overlay back.

Ok - let's try(!)
Have had another go and this time the marker points stayed where I had put them; however, if I reselected (ie hover the mouse-over one, got the 'cross-hairs', and clicked to select, the marker point jumped to another part of the picture (toward top left), and although one drag it back with the mouse, it loses the original placement on the picture

Hope that is bit clearer!
Thanks

Alpha 15-Apr.

The points still tend to jump to the upper or left image border if the split screen is used and Match input image is checked. With Match input unchecked the situation is better.

When they get accumulated in the upper left corner one over another after some dragging them around, a switch to the single input screen makes it possible to move them freely to any place again.

I'm not having any luck reproducing this here, can you give me any more details?

I seem to have left out one important detail: it happens only when the color picker is open.
