Slow loading of new images in Browse

While my computer is not the fastest, I noticed that loading new images in Browse is more sluggish comparing to what I remember it was before. When Browseinfo is created and saved, it's obviously faster, but creating Browseinfo is what bugs me. The problem is that I'm not sure if it was really faster before or I became more impatient.... What are the recollections of others?
