easy slide show?

Post by johnp »

Is there a way to simply point to a directory and have PWP play a slide show? I've never had any good luck with the
current slide show tools on large directories, it always seems to run for a dozen or so pictures, then it starts just
showing black images.

Any thoughts?

You can display images in slide-show fashion from the browser or the workflow window.

To play the images, just click the Play button in the Browser or Workflow toolbar. You will be able to choose to play all images, selected images, etc.

During the playback of images, you can double-click on an image to open it in PWP. I frequently use this feature to open the images that I want to work on. That way after viewing all the images I have images that I liked already open and ready for editing in PWP.

There are no outstanding bugs against the play feature at the moment. If you do see any problem with this feature, please send e-mail to support at dl-c.com. Try to describe the circumstances in as much detail as possible.

Starting, I believe, with Windows 7 a very nice full-screen slide show feature is built into Windows Explorer.

I played with built-in Windows tools to play slides, but my experience was that they are
too brain dead to rotate an image automatically. Sigh.

Kiril,

Thank you for mentioning the method with play and double-clicking the images to open it.
I have to say i have not used the play function a lot, the time it had been introduced I had a not so powerful computer, so it was no fun to use, so I developed my own workflow for selecting images.
But with a machine with a powerful engine under the hood it's a real pleasure to use.

It's good to mention such things from time to time to see other paths then the one used all the time.
