Image Properties not fully preserved in Mat and Frame

I expected the properties of an image, i.e. aperture and exposure to be retained when the image is used in the Mat and Frame transformation, but these two were not whereas the others were (PWP 7.0.11 (64)). An image for which the aperture was f11 for 20 sec, yielded a matted image from Mat and Frame where Properties reported an aperture of f2.8 (the maximum aperture of the lens that I used) for 1/20 sec. The other properties were correctly retained.
