I am currenbtly trying DigiKam as a potential Digital Asser Manager and browser for Picture Window Pro and other applications for photography.
When configuring DigiKam for exiftool, I wanted to point to the version bundled with PWP. PWP's bundled version is a file named exif_tool.exe.
The user interface of DigiKam is made more difficult because DigiKam expects "exiftool.exe", not "exif_tool.exe".
In the configuration DigiKam displays exiftool.exe, byt the actual filename is exif_tool.exe. Having an underscore in the filename makes it confusing for the end user.
Is there a reason for the underscore ? Could PWP rename the file to exiftool.exe in future versions for consistency with the normal practice ?
I am just starting to install and configure DigiKam. I am hoping it will work correctly with PWP's bubdled version.

Re: bundled exiftool filename and DigiKam configuration
Try creating a shortcut in the PWP install folder called exiftool.exe that points to exif_tool.exe
