A lot of times when I'm working on a transform, say 'brightness', I make a tweak and astatus box pops up
in the middle of the screen (where I'm working) and my eye gets swamped by the brightness of the status box so
when the tweak finishes, my eye has 'forgotten' about what the image looked like before I made the tweak.
It would be nice to have a 'quiet mode' check box that would disable the popup dialog/status box.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Feature request - 'quiet mode'

Re: Feature request - 'quiet mode'
By status boxes I assume you mean progress indicators and/or the yellow message boxes indicating an operation is in progress, and not message boxes that require a response. There is already something similar in File Preferences to suppress these in Batch and/or Scripts, but I could add an option to suppress them in normal operation as well.

That would be fine, but maybe an option to wait a couple of seconds before showing the
progress message - for short operations, it usually pops up (and is distracting) then disappears
before you can read it anyway. That way it could keep you updated while a long process is
in progress, but not distract.
Alternately, have an option for the message to be displayed in a corner instead of the middle.
