Print Dialog Box

Post by Robert Schleif »

Some time ago I wrote asking for the print dialog to contain more information. As a possible solution to my needs, the size of the printed image is now visible. While this helps me adjust the size of the image, I find that I would still like to be explicitly shown the distance from each edge of the printed image to the edge of the paper. (I do not understand what it is that PWP calls the margin.)

What PWP calls the margin is the area around the edge of the paper that is guaranteed to be white. If the printed image is smaller than the remaining space, there may be additional white space around the image. If you tell PWP to size the image to fit the available space, it expands the image until either the horizontal or vertical size just fits the available space between margins.

In the Page Layout Details dialog box, PWP displays the actual amount of white space around the image which as I understand it is exactly what you asked for. You get the Page Layout Details dialog box via the Print settings menu.
