I think I know the answer already but thought I would ask.
I am Compositing multiple images, each time using the same (complex) mask, but each time I wish to subtract different part(s) of that mask. Under normal circumstance, using another image as the Overlay, I would just generate a second (Overlay) mask and use the Pen tool to encircle only the wanted part.
However, rather than using an Overlay Image, each time I wish to use the Solid Color option instead.
It appears, though, that when Solid Color is selected, only a mask is allowed for the Input image. Any suggestions on how I can subtract a portion of that mask? I suspect this is complicated by the fact that Solid Color is not actually an image with dimensions so PWP can't identify a mask.
I would rather not generate multiple solid color images and using the Pen tool on the original mask to subtract areas is too much work.

Thanks Jonathan, I sort of figured so.
By the way, not that it matters a lot as this operation would unlikely be done often, or at all perhaps, but I was doing up a bunch of Solid Color Overlay Composites (with a mask but I doubt the mask had anything to do with it) onto an image. The solid colors were all at either extreme of the 0-255 scale (as an example I would generate a solid color with RGB 255-255-255, 254-254-254 etc and 0-0-0, 1-1-1 etc.). I did about 30 in each direction from solid black and solid white (if that explanation is understandable). I had earlier changed the default to RGB and Decimal.
I found generating any solid color with two or more digit numbers (ie 10-10-10 or 255-255-255) worked quite quickly with only a second-ish delay between entering each number and arriving at the intended color. However, when I tried doing single digit (ie 3-3-3) there was an inordinate delay and often I would put in (from left to right) 3, wait a couple seconds, then the next 3, a couple seconds then enter the last 3. The program would stop after entering the last 3, and the color remained from the first two entries and not turn black. If left alone, the program remained stalled. I had to re-enter that third number again for it to finally "catch" and complete the color change to black (dark gray). This repeatedly happened regardless of the single digit number. Seems to be a glitch with the color comprised of single digit numbers.
Like I said, it likely doesn't matter in the real world, just an FYI.
