When I bring up a new image, it is displayed surrounded by a white border. I don't see any spot in the
Preferences->Themes menu to change the background from a color other than white. There are ties when
I want a black or gray surround rather than screaming white.
Am I missing a menu option someplace?
As always, many thanks in advance!

There are two ways to change the border color. The quickest is the 3-button tool bar at the top of the main window which lets you select between white, black or the current custom setting.
The custom setting is made from File/Preferences. You can also adjust the minimum border width.
