Oval gradient transformation : shifting the center ?

Post by pierrelabreche »

Would it be possible to shift the center of an oval or a rectangular gradient, while keeping the outside shape unchanged ?

If you drag the center control point it does this.

When I tried this, the whole shape moved. I suggest dragging only the center control point ( which is the lightest or darkest point of the gradient shape ), while keeping the outside shape in place.

See my comment re rectangular gradients. You can do the same thing with oval gradients to limit the effect to some other shape, including for example, a different oval.
