Considering that sliders have a fune tuning in their user interface :

Fine Tuning. The method above is good for quick but coarse slider adjustments, but it can be tricky to get exactly the value you want. To make fine adjustments to the location of a marker, hold the Shift key down while dragging the marker left or right. The increases the resolution by a factor of 16, giving you very precise control over the slider setting at the expense of reduced range of motion. So, use coarse adjustment to get close and then hold down Shift to make any necessary final tweaks.

A similar fine tuning interface could be added to mouse dragging. Holding down shift while dragging a point would add precision to the operation. This could be done in in curves, also in histogram view.

Shift is already used to add new control points. All the transformations that have curves let you resize the dialog box to make the curve larger which makes it easier to make fine adjustments. In most cases really fine curve adjustments do not make a visible difference.
