Crashes
For the past few days, while in extended (>3 hr) sessions with PWP 8.0.541 the computer stops responding to the mouse and keyboard. Ctrl-Alt-Del does nothing, and I must power off, restart, and in restarting, problems are encountered and I select continuie startup anyway. Restart is then successful....

Can't kill precise gaussian blur
After starting Precise Gaussian that is projected to take 15 minutes, depressing Shift and Alt for two minuites did not terminate Precise Gaussian. While Precise Guassian was running, I could do nothing else on my computer. This was with PWP 8.0.533. Some time ago I mentioned this issue, and I thoug...

Can't copy a mask
It seems like I should be able to create a mask, save it, and then add it to another mask, but I'm having difficulties using version 8.0.533 Here's what I do, and here's what I get. Open PWP Open a script that does not contain masks Open the mask transformation Choose Mask 1 New Mask Draw a simple m...

Sharpening
Some time in the past, your (Jonathan's) contribution to a thread on sharpening mentioned some commercial software that you use before printing. Could you please mention it again. From the Reference Manual on Multipass Sharpening--"A blur threshold of 0% eliminates all blurring and consequently...

Re: Crash Recovery
Perhaps what had failed in my case was unusual. All that was visible that was attributable to PWP was the box with the yellow background saying "Loading workspace script..." At the time I didn't think to check the Windows task manager to see if PWP was doing anything.

Crash Recovery
While PWP is recovering from a crash, all I see is a small box saying "Loading workspace script:... It would be nice to see what it is doing and where it is in the recovery process and whether or not it has gotten stuck. While it would be nice to be seeing images developing, even a running cloc...

Re: Image Tree Positioning
The current automatic placement of the image tree window is really annoying if you have introduced a splitter and you are working back and forth between the two branches. Would you consider allowing the user to turn off automatic placement with an option in preferences? Manual placement would be muc...

Re: Image Tree Positioning
Amongst the behaviors that seem practical to implement, what would suit me the best would be to position new images at the left edge of the browser window, but after that do no automatic repositioning, leave it all up to me to shift my images and their trees left and right within the browser window ...
