Sharpening

Some time in the past, your (Jonathan's) contribution to a thread on sharpening mentioned some commercial software that you use before printing. Could you please mention it again. From the Reference Manual on Multipass Sharpening--"A blur threshold of 0% eliminates all blurring and consequently...

Re: Crash Recovery

Perhaps what had failed in my case was unusual. All that was visible that was attributable to PWP was the box with the yellow background saying "Loading workspace script..." At the time I didn't think to check the Windows task manager to see if PWP was doing anything.

Crash Recovery

While PWP is recovering from a crash, all I see is a small box saying "Loading workspace script:... It would be nice to see what it is doing and where it is in the recovery process and whether or not it has gotten stuck. While it would be nice to be seeing images developing, even a running cloc...

Re: Image Tree Positioning

The current automatic placement of the image tree window is really annoying if you have introduced a splitter and you are working back and forth between the two branches. Would you consider allowing the user to turn off automatic placement with an option in preferences? Manual placement would be muc...

Re: Image Tree Positioning

Amongst the behaviors that seem practical to implement, what would suit me the best would be to position new images at the left edge of the browser window, but after that do no automatic repositioning, leave it all up to me to shift my images and their trees left and right within the browser window ...

Re: Image Tree Positioning

OK. Yes, I see the problem. The possible action that, to me, would be the most desireable would be not to shift the image tree at all unless your new shortcut key is used, and then to shift the branch of the selected image to the left edge of the window without shifting the image's vertical position.

Re: Image Tree Positioning

I thought that I could forestall reverting to the original behavior by including the phrase "full width of the tree". When the full width of a tree plus its mask thumbnails will not fit within the image browser window, either the former or the current positioning behavior would be OK, but ...

Image Tree Positioning

When an image tree contains, say two branches, it is annoying when you click on a thumbnail in the right-hand branch and the tree repositions in the image browser window so that the right-hand branch is at the left edge of the browser window, and the left-hand branch is off-screen further to the lef...

Re: Slide Show

Thank you. Maybe take this tool out of PWP or make its use as intuitive as most of the rest of PWP? Couldn't invoking File Open, adding image files to it, and then running it in batch mode all be put behind the scenes and performed by clicking on a button?
