Speeding Precise Gaussian Blur
I like the backgrounds of my flower images to be highly blurred. Precise Gaussian is fine for this except that it runs very slowly. The following seems to be an effective blurring procedure that, for my images, is about five times faster than Precise Gaussian. Feather a mask of the flower with a rad...

Re: Combining Masks
It would be nice if the software could be engineered so that the process were straightworward and the necessary menu necessary choices were obvious.

Re: Combining Masks
After some playing around, I have learned one way of combining two masks. What I did not appreciate is that the two masks to be combined using the output of the Mask transformation must be mask 1 and mask 2 in that Masks transformation. I also did not appreciate the fact that the B&W image produ...

Re: Combining Masks
Thank you for your response. Part of my difficulty seems to be that saving a mask doesn't seem to work. If I have created two masks, reopen the first for editing, and then select "Save current mask", then open the transformation in which the second mask was created, I get the message "...

Combining Masks
I am having difficulty combining two masks. The Mask transformation dialog box allows the operation Mask 1 + Mask 2, and this produces an image of the combination in the right hand image area. I have been unable to find a way to use this combination as a mask however. Alas, the documentation doesn't...

Mask Memory
If I create a mask in one branch of an image tree, use it in a second branch, and then delete the first branch, memory of the mask is gone from the program altogether. I wish the program wouldn't do this, but would save the mask and not a reference to it, in the second branch.

Re: Changing to a different mask
Dependencies--what a wonderful capability. Despite using PWP for years, somehow I never learned of this tool. If multiple masks have been generated with the Masks transformation, Depencencies does not identify which mask has been used, it only identifies the Mask transformation from which the mask w...

Changing to a different mask
If I have generated several masks in the course of editing an image, when I go back to a transformation using one of the masks, it doesn't seem possible to see which mask was used in a transformation, nor to change to a different mask. The only option that seems to be provided is to reopen the mask ...
