I don't seem to be able to use the 1:1 clickable preview in AS, when a Texture mask is applied. It actually doesn't seem to work with any other Sharpen Transformation that has 1:1 clickable preview enabled by default. Is there a way around it?

It doesn't work because clicking on the input image acts as a probe in the histogram to see where a given pixel falls.
