Interesting article, thanks for the link Maciej. Is the term "ultra-data", data about the metadata? Or, otherwise known as "too much information about the metada"... :)
How did we ever manage to enjoy our film-based photographs? It was enough to write a few salient names and notes on the cardboard slide frames, back in my earlier days.
