The changes (taken from the update log) are:

Add Border: when you select Oval as the shape, you now get a Roundness slider that runs continuously between elliptical and rectangular. Rounded Rectangle is remains as a slightly different option.

Updated to LibRaw 0.21.4.

Updated to LensFun 0.3.3.

Color Lookup: added support for Title metadata when loading or saving cube files. Also added Filename display (if any) and rearranged user interface.

Image Browser: adjusted the scrolling algorithm to allow room for masks and inputs of entire branch.

Many thanks for this, Jonathan. I installed this version today, replacing 8.0.4something, and particularly like the controls in Warp to force horizontal or vertical movement of the grid. I use Warp a lot.

However, it shuts down very often. Sometimes when opening a new image after processing an image, it briefly presents a yellow banner saying something about downloading metadata? and then shuts down. Or else it shuts down when I complete a transformation. I mostly process 4000x3000 pixel tiffs.

The 8.0.4... version was very stable.

Today I uninstalled the program, downloaded it again, and re-installed. Same behaviour as yesterday.

I'm not sure what is going on -- I don't see this here and haven't gotten other reports of general instability.

The only way I can think of to narrow this down would be for you to install a series of intermediate versions and not when it started acting up.

Let me know if this is something you are willing to try as I archive past versions regularly.

Yes, I would like try an earlier version, preferably one which has the horizontal and vertical buttons on the Warp dialog.

You need to uninstall the latest version first and then install 477.

Thank you. .477 works, I can load [ = "open in PWP"] a new image when PWP already holds several images. Great!

But when I load an image, I still get, for a fraction of a second, a yellow horizontal strip across the window saying "Extracting metadata from [the path of the image]"

That is normal.
