Widget on/off button?

Here is a question/suggestion: I can't figure out how to build a workflow and temporarily turn off a particular widget (taking it out of the chain temporarily, but not losing the settings). This could be useful when experimenting with workflows and seeing what exactly a particular widget changes in the processing chain.
