Mask Tool Undo Last Operation

Post by Marpel »

This issue may well be related to my interpretation of what Undo Last Operation means.

Compositing two images with a mask:

- Open the Base Mask dialogue
- Draw a single Freehand mask
- Click Paint and make one application
- Undo Last Operation

The first/single Paint application is deleted and the tool is reverted back to Freehand (of course, if that Paint application is a second or subsequent, the Paint tool remains). Is there any way to treat the clicking on a tool as an operation, so if the above scenario occurs, the Paint application is deleted but that same tool remains open? Just makes it easier, and less clicking, if one makes an initial application mistake and Undo does not make that tool disappear.

And, using the Paint tool again:

- Make an application
- Change, as an example, the Softness slider setting
- Make another application
- Undo Last Operation
As expected, the last application (made with the new softness slider setting) is deleted, but the change to the softness slider remains. If Undo is pressed again, the first application now disappears, but the softness slider setting again remains unchanged. It appears the slider is not considered part of/an operation?
