Unless the compare transformation is used, when zooming the main image area without moving the cursor, the pointer keeps hovering above the same point of the image below the pointer.

When zooming while using the compare transformation, the image is allowed to shift around the pointer.
Is there a way to zoom in the compare transformation without shifting the image below the pointer ?

This feature has already been requested and is on my things to do list.
