Image stretching suggestion?

I recently looked at the following video that shows selectively stretching portions of an image to
enhance or minimize sections of the image, ie, foreground or sky, etc.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL_zZq4WzoA

Is there a way in PWP-8 do achieve similar operations? It seems like Warp is a starting point, but
it doesn't seem to be quite malleable enough. If there was a way to move the corner points to
arbitrary points it could do the job.

Say I want to shrink the foreground... If I could move the upper two corners (without warping) lower
in the image, I could then use the bottom warp points shrink the foreground while leaving the
upper portion of the image un-distorted.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I saw the same video and actually played with the image myself.

First I used the Geometry/Distort transformation to compress the bottom and make some extra room at the top.

Then I cropped off the blank area at the bottom leaving a blank area at the top.

and finally I used the Clone tool to fill in the top.

A more elegant way to compress the bottom of the image is to use the Displace transformation with a linear gradient mask. You can spread out the compression over a larger or smaller area by adjusting the gradient.
