what can be redone inside the history?

Hi
While looking inside the manual I found this statement about history :
"A icon indicates that no widget is available. When an image is opened it generally has no widget. (Raw images are an exception. Their settings are saved in a widget.) Some operations do not have widgets such as transformations like Composite which require more than one image for input, mask operations and others. Non-algorithmic operations, such as freehand tool operations also are not stored as widgets."
Does it also mean that only widgets can be redone back from the original image?
More general : Is there a list of those transformations or other "actions" that can be redone from the history?
