*.CHM help don't display anymore / mk:@MSITStore error

I can't display PW50.chm help file any longer. I'm getting the 'Cannot open the file: mk:@MSITStore:D:\............\pw50.chm' error. Other chm files don't want to work either. It is apparently related to the hhctrl.ocx file - I tried a few recipes that I could find to fix it, but to no avail. Would anybody have a better idea how to handle it? Cheers.

This error can be caused by a program installation or the un-installation of a program that for whatever reason un-registers the hhctrl.ocx file. To fix this error, you will need to re-register the hhctrl.ocx file with Windows. Click on your Start menu and select Run. In the Open portion of the dialogue box that appears, type regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\hhctrl.ocx. Click OK and the error should be fixed.

Many thanks. I tried to re-register hhctrl.ocx but it hasn't fixed the problem. Then I came across another advice: re-registering the itss.dll file as well. It turned out that this file was missing from the windows/system32 folder. I downloaded it, then ran:
regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\hhctrl.ocx
regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\itss.dll
which fixed the problem. I still have no idea how it came about. Cheers.
