B&W Printer Profile in "Print" dialog

Hi all,
Been a slow 18 months photo-wise, but been getting back in the last few months...
Lately I have been playing with colour management and profiling. When opening a Black & White tiff or jpg file in PWP Pro 5.0.1.6 that was created in another program and going to "File>Print", underneath the checkbox for "Apply inverse monitor curves" there is an option to select a custom printer profile and set rendering intent. However, when creating a B&W tiff in PWP from a canon raw file, this option disappears. Doesn't make any difference if the file was just created, or if PWP/the file/computer is shut down and restarted.
I've re-downloaded and installed. It could be how it's supposed to work, but doesn't seem logical to me...?
Regards,
Simon
