Auto Backup?

An hour into an edit, PWP vanished without a trace (8.0.41). The last time this happened I suggested an auto workspace save feature. Might there be a file that has all my work saved somewhere?
Thanks,
Jeff

If the PWP crashed on you, the latest Autosave.Workspace - i.e. the one that was saved with the latest OK click in any transformation before the crash, should be found at: \Documents\Picture Window Pro\Workspace Scripts\. This should bring all the images, transformations and their settings as they were before the crash. This is unless the 'Autosave on OK' option is turned off in Preferences.
There is more discussion on my understanding of it here:

Unless you turned it on, Autosave was probably off. I have switched the default to on for the next release, although this will not affect current users.
Saving the workspace is fast and efficient, so it is a good way to preserve your work during a long session.
Autosave, when enabled, saves the current workspace every time you click OK on a transformation.

Yeh, I did miss the memo that the feature was added and never enabled it. I did enable it and reworked the edit and again PWP 8 crashed. No obvious cause, but at least this time the autosave had the work saved.

I have seen this happen once or twice -- let me know if you find something that triggers it.

I just updated from 8.0.35 to 8.0.41. Didn't see PWP spontaneously vanishing before the 8.0.41 update.

I don't think is was anything I did recently -- I saw it happen a while ago.

Just had 4th crash since upgrading to 8.0.41 from 8.0.35 yesterday morning. No crashes before that going back to July, and that was a known root-cause problem that was corrected. I'm going back to 8.0.35 for a bit.
Only thing in common is that they all happened during a mouse-click.
Auto-Save is a lifesaver.

I compared all the sources between those two versions and don't offhand see anything that could account for crashing on a mouse click, so I am predicting that reverting to the older version will not make the problem disappear, but keep me posted, especially if you can narrow down the circumstances.
