FYI. There are free versions of Capture One Express for Fuji and Sony RAW files. There are some limitations as compared with the commercial version, but not extensive (https://www.captureone.com/en/features/feature-list

The basic corrections can be done there (lens corrections and exposure) and the 48 bit TIFF exported directly to PWP8 for processing (Image/Edit With... PWP8). I like what it does to Fuji files so far, but I don't quite understand it yet.

Indeed, it begins quite differently than both Raw Therapee and the free version of Silkypix for Fuji cameras. I tried to work with it for a few dozen files; at first it is like eye candy, but I currently do not use it.

Fuji Raw File Converter is the camera maker's free offering to develop Fuji raw files. It is a version of Silkypix. The program has a user interface rather different than most. For example, it has no brightness/lightness slider, at least that I can find. Instead, there is a "contrast center" slider. These days I find myself using Silkypix more, usually alongside Raw Therapee. Sometimes I choose the Silkypix version, and sometimes I modify the Raw Therapee version after visual comparison of the two.

If you don't use a Fuji camera, you can get a trial of the general market version of Silkypix. The vendor seems to have an annual sale around this time of year.
