A question about the bypass feature

If you bypass a transformation, everything downstream is recalculated. If you then decide to remove the bypassed step for good, everything downstream is recalculated again. Is it necessary?

Sometimes bypassing and removing transformations might be a frequent step while the workflow is being tuned.

Sounds like this could be optimized.

I have been re-editing some scripts as I have found better ways to achieve what I needed. Unfortunately removing a bypassed step still triggers another recomputing.
Is the optimization considered for the future?

It's on the list.
