Open an image, zoom to 1:1 and find small areas I wish to clone out. Open the clone tool, and the image reverts to "fit-to-screen", and I have to zoom in and scroll around to find the details, again. This is the case with other transformations, as well.

Any way to keep the zoom factor locked in when opening a transformation?

No way to do this currently.

I mention this in part because when I do get the code converted there are likely to be residual problems with the EXIF and other metadata for different file types, so it will be something to keep an eye out for.
