Ref: PWP 8 release 03-28-2018
--- update log.pdf ------
Launching Picture Window Pro multiple times just opens the first instance and no longer creates multiple
copies of the application.
---------
This works so far .... , but I would like to have drag-and-drop support to add
more files to PWP 8.
At the current state of the implementation I have to use the Open from the File menue.
Since I keep all my files in a DAM (IMatch) I pass my files from IMatch via drag-and-drop

That turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it would. Starting with the next release, you can drop one or more files on an open instance of PWP and it will open the dropped files. You should probably avoid doing this while Picture Window is busy performing some other operation.

May I ask for two more enhancements:
- Is it possible to have a drag-and-drop function to the root of a "workflow" in the image browser?
- Is it possible to assign an image from the image browser in the "Replave Existing File" dialog?
Thanks

I think the first one is fairly easy, as long you don't drop more than one image.
There might be a better way to do the second one by creating a new transformation that takes one auxiliary input, and passes it through unchanged to its output. It would always create a top level image in a new branch. If you then build a workflow below this image, you could select a new root image from the image picker in the top level image.

I took your suggestion for drag and drop and that is implemented in the 1-Apr release.
I also added a new Copy transformation which takes an image argument and passes it through to its output. At any point, you can select a different input image and it will ripple through all other downstream images.

This copy transformation resolves another enhancement request I was thinking of: an equivalent function to the "flatten layers" function in Photoshop.
Thanks
