when you composite with shift/rotate and then change the imput image, the Overlay icon gets cleared but the overlay image is still there visible as a rectangle on the new imput image. It is good that the overlay image is not removed from the transformation, especially when you want to overlay it again, so why to clear the Overlay icon?

For the next maintenance release, I have modified Composite to retain the overlay image and its alignment points when changing input images. The input image alignment points are retained only if the new input image is exactly the same size as the previous input image - otherwise they are reset to the corners of the new input image.
