I vaguely recall this being reported - but I can't find it anymore and don't remember what the conclusion was, if any:
I have a folder with some 200 images. In Browse, the Save Browseinfo in Folder is checked. Every time I close Browse window, the 'Updating browse information' progress window pops up and all the thumbs in the Browse get updated anew, which takes several seconds.
Is there a way of preventing that from happening?
Cheers
p.s. Manually deleting the .browseinfo file and letting the Browse to update again seems to have solved the problem. I still don't know why it happens sometimes though.

Re: Updating Browse Information
Browse checks to make sure that all its thumbnails are current and refreshes any thumbnails which need to be refreshed and reads in the cached thumbnails. This takes a few seconds when there are many images in the folder.
