After more testing of CrossOver, I can't really recommend it. While PWP generally runs OK, there are problems with the File Open dialog box not displaying image thumbnails and also the high resolution mode does not work so you are not getting the benefit of the full screen resolution. Also, you cannot drop image files on PWP or the PWP desktop icon, and PWP does not appear to the Mac as an application, so no Open With... option in Lightroom for example.
A true emulator such as Parallels which embeds a copy of official MS Windows is at this time probably the best solution, but it is relatively expensive and the performance will suffer to some extent. For that amount of money you are almost better off just buying an inexpensive Windows laptop.

1. Could you update the FAQ quoted above with your current conclusion ?FAQ
Picture Window is designed for Microsoft Windows. The only way to run it on a Mac is by using a Windows emulator such as Parallels or VMware, however when Apple introduces new Macs that use an ARM processor, this will probably be less efficient.
Picture Window can be run under Linux if you use a 64-bit Windows emulator such as Wine. Wine is included in many Linux distros or it can be installed separately.
2. Any tests done on the new breed of ARM-based Windows PCs ?
