Whilst on the subject of panoramas I’ll post an image taken in 2019. I was on a cherry picker and there are about 650 people in this shot. I took it with a series of three shots using a Sigma DP1 and its amazing Foveon sensor. The detail enables you to see the pattern on the ties worn by the gentlemen.
Back in those days I used PWP version 7 and I used it to remove the stray people not in the group. The pram at the right. Also to correct about four faces where people were looking at the grass or to the person at their side (or where ICE got into a muddle). Probably about a couple of hours work – but the end result is a stunning poster sized print that is part of history at our local club.

Good to see Kolor AutoPano ... However, when I downloaded and installed it from the link it never worked -- it just exited immediately without even displaying a window.
If I remember correctly, this is the tweak necessary for installation :

THE SOLUTION on the PC!
Here's what Olivier found. If Autopano Giga or Panotour Pro won't start on your recent PC, it's because of a file called “libeay32.dll”. This can be found in your PC installation folder > C: > Programs Files > Kolor > Autopano Giga 4.4.2 or > Panotour.
You need to copy it and keep it aside just in case, then delete it from this folder.
And it works!
About this dll: the “libeay32.dll” dll is an open source dll, so it's very easy to find - and up to date - on the Internet. So if you lose it on your computer, don't panic. What's more, if you delete it from this folder, it's very likely to be found in another folder in another program on your computer.

The Downloads page needs to update the description to "Last Updated: 15-Mar-2025"

One further minor update to the Image Stitching for Panoramas.pdf -- I added a link to a PDF version of the (mostly complete) manual since the online help for AutoPano is no longer available.

Regarding MS Research ICE, the software is still a
favorite image stitching solution, for its ease of use and image completion using generative fill.
It can be retrieved at
