question for Den

Post by FAllen »

Den-

I was searching through the dpreview site and noticed that several months ago you were talking about the healing brush. You mentioned "two image blending modes of low/high pass filters" being added to PWP 5. I've looked for this in the program and in the message board and can't find a thing. The only low or high pass filter operation I've come across is in the composite transform. Is this what you were referring to?

Yes... to the low/high pass filters of the Composite transform... but I do not recall the context to the DPReview posting.

You might search the PWP5 Beta message board as I seem to recall some comments by Jonathan regarding the filter's use and definition.

I still remain somewhat fuzzy and have used them occassionally but not in any definitive manner... mostly having set up the Composite transform in either the low pass or high pass mode and an 'active Mask' Tool' Add/Subtract soft-sided brush painting scenario.

I would certainly appreciate some illumination on their application.
