Portable PWP
This is not that important, but I'll ask anyway. Is there a way of running PWP portably, at least in a basic fashion (e.g. without help or being able to save transformation settings) without installing it (e.g. on the guest computer without an administrator's rights)?

Re: Portable PWP
If you copy all the files in C:\Program Files\Digital Light & Color\Picture Window Pro 8 to a flash drive, it should run OK, but it will not be able to find its preferences, color management settings, and so on that are normally stored in C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Picture Window Pro.
Ideally, a portable version would store these files in the same folder as the program. I would do this for the regular version, but the program folder has restricted access privileges.
Of course all the settings files store in My Documents are also an issue.

Re: Portable PWP
The next release will have a feature that lets you create a portable version.

Re: Portable PWP
How does the new VCRUNTIME140_1.dll affect running the portable installation? Does the host computer have to have it already, and what are the chances it does?

Re: Portable PWP
Good question.
I should probably just add a copy of VCRUNTIME140_1.dll to the regular install -- then it will get copied to the portable install. It's only 44KB.
