Update Available - Version 8.0.45

Post by jsachs »

An update is available to Version 8.0.45 (13-Feb-2020)

Note: this is a final maintenance release before the next version which will incorporate significant new features for editing the image tree. It will let you quickly select multiple images as a group -- you can then close the selected images or copy them to a new location in the tree. This replaces the old close, copy and move commands which operated one image at a time. In addition, closing an image no longer requires all images that use it as an auxiliary input (or mask) also be closed -- the auxiliary inputs (or masks) are just reset. Since this is a significant rewrite, it may not all work perfectly right away. I am just finishing up testing and will start rewriting the help and other manuals shortly.

The changes (taken from the update log) are:

Zooming the main image area via the mouse wheel zooms the image so the part under the cursor is centered, as much as possible. Now it also moves the cursor to the center of the image being scrolled so that subsequent zooming stays centered on the same part of the image.

Compare: fixed problem with background not being erased while zooming out, in certain cases.

Image browser display: fixed problem causing unnecessarily wide blank space between branches in some cases.
